Jordan Joins US Global Entry Program - A Major Boost for Travel

Jordan has achieved a significant milestone by joining the United States' Global Entry program, becoming one of only a handful of Arab countries to receive this prestigious designation.

Director General of the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) Ramzi Al-Maaytah announced that Jordan's accession to the program represents a qualitative step toward facilitating the movement of travelers to the United States.

The timing is particularly significant as it comes ahead of Jordan's national football team participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Matches will be held in 11 US cities including Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, Boston, and New York.

Al-Maaytah emphasized that the decision confirms Jordan's high global standing through its commitment to the highest standards of safety, security, and institutional governance. The program allows pre-approved Jordanian travelers to bypass long queues and use designated electronic kiosks for fast and secure processing upon arrival at US airports.

Royal Jordanian Airlines is expected to benefit positively from this development, with an anticipated increase in the number of flights from Jordan to various US cities.
